Investigates translation technique of biblical quotations in Theodore’s “On Icon Veneration”. Theodore (mostly) used the Septuagint as his Vorlage. Still, the quotations betray “traces of Aramaic influence”. There are certain similarities between Theodore’s quotations and the Bible translations of the Qaraites in Jerusalem.
