Abstract

The first of four articles that discuss the translation of the Bible into Arabic. This article discusses the general challenges in translating the Bible and the best strategies to produce a comprehensive, eloquent translation. He gives examples from some Arabic Translations, mainly the Pauline Translation and the Catholic new translation whom the author himself contributed to. Although the title of the series implies a focus on the Gospels and Acts, the focus was mostly the former.
