د. مارتسينا زافانوفسكي – تخرَّجت من قسمي الدراسات العبرية والدراسات العربية في جامعة وارسو (2001). حصلت على إجازة الدكتوراة في تفسير التوراة من كلية الدراسات الشرقية في نفس الجامعة بالتعاون مع جامعة تل أبيب (2008). نشرت أطروحتها، بعد إدخال تعديلات جوهرية عليها وتوسيع نطاقها، التي تناولت تفسير يافت بن عيلي بالعربية اليهودية لقصص إبراهيم (الخليل) واشتملت على تحقيق لهذا التفسير وأصدرتها ضمن سلسلة Karaite Texts and Studies في دار النشر البريلية (2012، http://www.brill.com/arabic-translation-and-commentary-yefet-ben-eli-karaite-abraham-narratives-genesis-1110-2518). إلى جانب اهتمامها البحثي في تفسير التوراة، تهتم د. زافانوفسكي كذلك بالأدب العبري والفلسفة اليهودية. ومن بين جملة المهام التي تقلدتها، نذكر وقوفها على رأس مشروع نشر قصائد الشاعر حاييم نحمان بياليك الصادرة بالأصل بالعبرية والإيديش ونشرتها بعد نقلها إلى البولندية بلغاتها الأصلية إلى جانب البولندية (صدرت هذه الطبعة في سنة 2012).
تقوم د. زافانوفسكي ضمن مشروع بيبليا عرابيكا – بتمويل منظمة التعاون الألماني الإسرائيلي للأبحاث – بتحضير المجلد الثاني لكتابها آنف الذكر حول قصص إبراهيم (الخليل) وتفسير يافت بن عيلي لها. سوف يتضمن هذا المجلد ترجمة إنجليزية لما صدر سابقًا في المجلد الأول. إلى جانب ذلك، تنكب كذلك على كتابة بضع مقالات أكاديمية تتناول المواقف المركّبة لتفسيرات القرّائيّين في القرنين العاشر والحادي عشر في القدس بكل ما يتعلّق بمسألة التجسيم والتشبيه التوراتية.
