مئيره بولياك – أستاذة الدراسات التوراتية في قسم الدراسات التوراتية في جامعة تل أبيب. حصلت البكالوريا (بدرجة الامتياز) من الجامعة العبرية في القدس (1988)، وعلى شهادتي الماجستير (1989) والدكتوراة (1993) من جامعة كامبريدج في إنجلترا. تشمل خبرتها المهنية على المساعدة البحثية في وحدة الأبحاث في مركز تيلور شختر للجنيزة في مكتبة جامعة كامبريدج (1992-1995)؛ وحصلت على منحة ليدي ديفيس لزمالة ما بعد الدكتوراة في قسم اللغة العربية وآدابها في الجامعة العبرية في القدس (1995-1996)، ومنحة ألون للمحاضرة في قسم التوراة في جامعة تل أبيب (1996-1999). ترأست برنامج التوراة في قسم الدراسات التوراتية في جامعة تل أبيب، وترأست هيئة التدريس في قسم الدراسات التوراتية في جامعة تل أبيب (2006-2009). عملت كأستاذة كرسي يعقوب وهيلدا بلاوشتين في جامعة ييل (2009-2010)، ورئيسة المشروع متعدّد الحقول لدراسة اليهودية في قسم الدراسات التوراتية في جامعة تل أبيب (2010-2013). ترأست هيئة التدريس التابعة لكلية الآداب في جامعة تل أبيب (2011-2014)، وتشغل منذ سنة 2008 منصب المنسّقة الأكاديمية السامية لمشاريع البحث حول ثقافات اليهود في العالم الإسلامي في العصر الوسيط في مركز أبحاث يهود المنفى في جامعة تل أبيب.
تشمل مجالات اهتمام الأستاذة بولياك البحثية ترجمات وتفسيرات التوراة في العصور الوسطى؛ والنظريات الأدبية الحديثة لتفسير التوراة؛ والآداب العربية-اليهودية؛ والمخطوطات العربية والعربية-اليهودية الموجودة ضمن جنيزة القاهرة؛ والتاريخ الفكري والثقافي لليهود في العالم الإسلامي في العصور الوسطى؛ والتطوّر التاريخي لأدوات تفسير التوراة والقصص التوراتية.
