The reviewer welcomes the publication of the first volume of the Samaritan Pentateuch in Arabic and commends the efforts of its editor. On the other hand, he expresses his doubts concerning the editorial decision to transliterate the text of the Old Type into Arabic characters. The reviewer also criticizes that certain sections of MS: Nablus, Samaritan Synagogue, 6 that were lost and then restored by a later hand are included in the main text. He makes reference to fragments from other collections that can be identified as the original leaves of this manuscript and could have been used for the edition.</note>
