The author communicates a number of observations, mostly of a preliminary nature, from his work on Samaritan Arabic Pentateuch which are known or assumed to be of Egyptian provenance. These manuscripts attest to the importance of the Samaritan community of mediaeval Cairo for the transmission of the Samaritan Arabic versions as well as for cross-communal textual adaptations.
